You must meet certain terms and conditions

The candidate’s certificate of competence:

The candidate’s certificate of competence is no longer in use in the Flemish Region (since 1 January 2019), in the Walloon Region (since 21 September 2020), or in the Brussels-Capital Region (since 1 June 2024).

Note: The candidate’s certificate of competence cannot be used for subsidies, and people holding a candidate’s certificate of competence do not appear on the list of certified installers on this website.

Note on heat pumps

If you only have the RESCert certificate for heat pumps, you cannot carry out operations involving fluorinated greenhouse gases or ozone depleting substances. These lead to a risk of emissions from refrigerants (installation, repair, checking for leaks, etc.). Specific accreditation as a category I, II, III or IV refrigeration technician, and accreditation for the refrigeration business, are therefore mandatory.
