FAQs

  • Can my company use the RESCert logo on its website and in its publications?

  • No. The company may state that one of its technicians holds RESCert certificate No. XXXXX, but it may not use the RESCert logo on its website. This is because the certificate is linked to an individual and not to the company.

  • RESCert has rejected my application for a certificate. Am I entitled to a refund?

  • No. The terms and conditions state that payment does not in any way guarantee that a certificate will be issued.

  • The extract from the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises lists an activity as a heating engineer/electrician under the heading “VAT activities” or “NACEBEL codes”, but RESCert has rejected my application in the Walloon Region or the Brussels-Capital Region. Why?

  • Only the activities listed under the heading “Professional skills and basic knowledge of business management” are taken into account. The other headings refer to activities for which no verification of professional competence is carried out.

  • I am a refrigeration installer and I would like to obtain a “heat pump” certificate in the Walloon Region or the Brussels-Capital Region, but I do not have the required access to the profession. How can I meet the RESCert requirement, i.e. demonstrate compliance with the Royal Decree of 21 December 1974 laying down the conditions for carrying out the professional activity of refrigeration installer?

  • You must contact a business counter. Business counters are authorised to issue a certificate confirming compliance with this Royal Decree.

  • What should I do if I no longer know the email address I used for registration?

  • If you no longer remember the email address used for registration, you can contact info@rescert.be. Please note: it is important that the certificate holder contacts us personally.

  • What should I do if I no longer have access to the email address I used for registration?

  • If the email address used for registration is no longer in use, or if you no longer have access to it, you can contact info@rescert.be. Please note: it is important that the certificate holder contacts us personally.
